Uses of Aloe Vera in Human Life

Enviado en

The aloe Vera plant is one of the most famous plants in the world, and is used widely for its medicinal properties. It also makes for an attractive houseplant. Aloe is a lily-like, green, and sometimes spiny shrub with very little. It produces approximately 25 fleshy, gray-green leaves in a beautiful rosette display. In Europe, Aloe is used almost exclusively as a digestive aid and laxative. It can grow to two feet in height. The best time to grow this plant is in the spring time either from seed or from shoots or leaves from a mature plant. Aloe Vera is not harvested like other herbs. The benefits of aloe Vera are manifold.

Aloe Vera has been used to cure both internally and outwardly. It really speeds the healing of several skin injuries, including ulcerations, burns, hives and poison ivy and also acts as a laxative. Aloe latex is a effective laxative, but because it can cause painful cramping, it is not used frequently for this purpose. Aloe vera has been used as an immunostimulant that aids in fighting cancers in cats and dogs. The injection of Aloe vera extracts to treat cancer has resulted in the deaths of several patients. Other milder herbal laxatives such as cascara sagrada and senna are usually recommended first.
